Dead body on campus identified
The Hillsborough Medical Examiner confirmed that the dead body found on campus Wednesday morning was 73-year-old Fred Wayne Allen.
He died due to natural causes.
The body was found near the crosswalk at USF Bull Run Drive and Fowler Avenue adjacent to Pizzo Elementary, according to University Police (UP).
UP said Allen had no affiliation to USF.
The body was reported to staff at Pizzo Elementary around 9 a.m. Jan. 29.
