AAC teleconference breakdown

Coach Willie Taggart's "Bull Shark" Defense is preparing for the power-style Towson Tigers.
Continuing to Build
During Monday’s AAC coaches’ teleconference, coach Willie Taggart was not looking to draw comparisons to the 2015 Bulls team that finished with an appearance in the Miami Beach Bowl.
Instead, Taggart said they look to build on the momentum of winning seven of the team’s last nine games in 2015.
“We have some new faces in some places,” Taggart said.
“Again, it’s a new team. I don’t think last year’s team will think like this year’s team. That by itself is going different…and again, I think our team last year showed that (we) can play with some of the best.”
Running the Power
In contrast to the Bulls’ up-tempo offense, their opening day opponent Towson runs a hard-nosed scheme that Taggart grew up on.
“They are a blue color football team, they run the power,” Taggart said. “I love that play ‘the power’ I grew up on that play ‘the power.’ When you turn on the film and you watch them, it’s like, ‘Wow.’”
