USF gets football on campus
For years there have been grumblings among students about the need for an on-campus football stadium, and this Saturday’s Green and White spring game at 4 p.m. will give fans a taste of that.
Held at Raymond James Stadium in the past, USF’s spring game has been moved to Corbett Soccer Stadium this year.
“The support of our fans and student body is critical as we build this program,” USF coach Willie Taggart said. “This will be a really fun and unique way to deepen the connection to all of them.”
As with every USF football game, admission for the spring game will be free. Bleacher seating will be provided for up to 1,000 fans along with the grassy berm providing seating as well.
The Bulls went 2-10 last season and will return 10 offensive starters, five defensive and two on special teams.
