Ex-pastor of Tampa megachurch charged with DUI
TAMPA – The former pastor of a Tampa megachurch has been charged with driving under the influence.
Tampa police arrested Randy White on Saturday about 11:30 p.m. His blood alcohol count was listed as .093 and .095. A person is presumed intoxicated at .08.
The 53-year-old was released Sunday morning on $500 bail.
White resigned from the Without Walls International Church in 2009, citing health reasons. He and his then-wife founded the church in 1991 as the South Tampa Christian Center. They announced they were divorcing in 2007, after the church came under financial scrutiny for the couple’s failure to repay a $170,000 loan from an elderly widow, money borrowed in 1995 as a down payment on a house.
