Stolen bicycles recovered on campus

University Police caught two males attempting to steal two bicycles near Residence Hall Cypress C.

The USF housing department called UP, who reported to the scene and found the
individuals cutting the lock on a third bicycle, said UP spokeswoman Lt. Meg Ross.

Ross said Friday that reports were unable to be accessed after hours and detailed information about the case was unavailable.

She said some information was withheld because one of the suspects is a juvenile. The other suspect is an 18-year-old male.

UP impounded the two bicycles. Ross said six bicycles have been reported stolen on campus since May.

On Friday, Gregory Connell, residence life coordinator for Housing and Residential Education, sent an e-mail to residents informing them to contact UP at 813-974-2628 if they recently had a bicycle stolen.
