Gramatica wins award

Former USF placekicker Bill Gramatica was chosen NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 11. Gramatica kicked the game-winning 42-yard field goal with one second remaining to help the Arizona Cardinals defeat San Diego 20-17 Sunday.

Gramatica also had an 18-yard field goal and two extra points in the game. Gramatica is in his first season with the Cardinals and is USF’s leading career scorer.

Former Bulls cornerback Anthony Henry, also in his first NFL season, is tied with three other players for second in the league with seven interceptions. Henry intercepted three passes in Week 10, helping his Cleveland Browns to a 27-17 victory against defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore. Henry won the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts vs. the Ravens.
