USF campuses close due to Tropical Storm Eta
Due to Tropical Storm Eta and its potential impact on the Tampa Bay area, USF closed all campuses through Thursday.
All classes will be delivered remotely Thursday. The university is expected to resume normal operations Friday.
“As the safety of students, faculty and staff is USF’s highest priority, members of the university community are urged to plan carefully, follow local weather reports and monitor updates from county and state emergency management officials,” USF spokesperson Adam Freeman said in an email Wednesday afternoon.
Residence halls and residential dining facilities at the Tampa and St. Pete campus will remain open. All USF Health clinical operations are canceled through Thursday morning.
Facilities across campuses closed early Wednesday afternoon as a precautionary measure. The Marshall Student Center closed at 2 p.m. and the Recreation Centers at the Tampa and St. Pete campus are closed until further notice.
