USF football game versus Memphis relocated to Orlando

Saturday’s USF football game against Memphis, originally set for Raymond James Stadium, has been relocated to Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
This comes just one day after Hurricane Milton battered Florida, making landfall as a Category 3 in Siesta Key, Sarasota on Wednesday night.
Following the hurricane, there was flooding on the field of Raymond James Stadium. Dale Mabry Highway, located outside the stadium, also dealt with flooding as of Thursday.
The game, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, was moved to Saturday earlier this week.
Kickoff for the game remains at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, with broadcasting on ESPN+ and additional live coverage on 102.5 FM and Bulls Unlimited digital radio.
The American Athletic Conference announced the change, stating the decision was “made in consultation with local law enforcement in the interest of public safety and with respect for the response and recovery efforts underway in Tampa Bay.”

This decision is similar to past relocations due to major storms, such as when USF moved its game against East Carolina to Boca Raton in 2022 due to Hurricane Ian.
USF’s football team and operations were moved earlier this week to Orlando on Tuesday, head coach Alex Golesh confirmed in Tuesday’s press conference.

Camping World Stadium is host to the Citrus Bowl, which saw Tennessee defeat Iowa 35-0 on Jan. 1 most recently.
The stadium also hosts other football games, soccer matches, concerts and even Wrestlemania.
