USF on-campus stadium will feature exclusive student section
When USF opens its new on-campus stadium in 2027, students can look forward to their own exclusive section on game day.
New renderings released on Wednesday showcase a view of what’s to come inside the new stadium.
The stadium will feature a student-only section on its west side with room to accommodate more than 8,000 students.
The Bulls’ current home field, Raymond James stadium, holds a capacity of 8,700 for students.
USF’s “Iconic Bull U” logo, a part of USF for over 20 years now, will also be included in the design.

The section will include its own entrance, restrooms and concessions. A landing for a disc jockey will also be located within the area to entertain fans on gameday.
USF Vice President of Athletics Michael Kelly said student input was key in deciding the stadium’s features.
“Many of the amenities included on the west side of the stadium were based on student feedback,” Kelly said. “We thank them for wanting to be a part of this exciting future we are creating together.”
The new renderings come just after ticket demand for Saturday’s game has peaked. Over 13,000 student tickets were claimed within 24 hours for the matchup against No. 8 Miami.
USF’s band, the Herd of Thunder will also have their own dedicated area . A lower level section will be given to the marching band for easy access to the field for pregame and halftime performances.

The south section of the stadium will be the home side for USF fans. Season ticket holders will have their own special seating, that includes a press box tower that provides shade.
The 35,000 capacity stadium will be constructed by three companies, Manhattan Construction Co., H.J. Russell & Co. and DuCon LLC. USF announced the partnership with the construction firms on April 9.
South Florida currently expects the stadium to be completed by March 2027. It will be located on the east side of campus, replacing the area that is now the Sycamore Fields.
USF’s groundbreaking day for the stadium is set during homecoming week at 3:30 p.m. on Oct.18. Additional renderings are expected to be released before the event.
