President Joe Biden’s speech at University of Tampa – Photo Gallery
President Joe Biden visited the University of Tampa on Thursday to speak about the importance of strengthening Medicare and Social Security.
His 25-minute speech provided insights on his administration’s accomplishments and goals surrounding these topics, such as lowering the cap for out-of-pocket drug costs for Medicare patients.
Biden mentioned the significance of these programs in Florida, as he said the state has the highest percentage of senior citizens in the U.S.

UConn defeated South Carolina 82-59 in the NCAA championship on Sunday at Amalie Arena in Tampa. It marked the 12th championship for the Huskies and coach Geno Auriemma, who’s been with the program since 1985. UConn guard Azzi Fudd was named Most Outstanding Player after scoring 24 points in the win.

The women’s basketball Final Four tipped off Friday at Tampa’s Amalie Arena. Texas, South Carolina, UConn and UCLA faced off to decide who would play in Sunday’s National Championship game.
