USF students held up at gunpoint
Four USF students were held up at gunpoint late Monday night at the IQ Apartments directly across the street from the university at 12702 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
HCSO said the two suspects forced their way into the apartment after knocking. The suspects fled the apartment with an unspecified amount of cash heading south toward the edge of the complex on foot where it’s believed they had a vehicle waiting for them.
In a text alert sent out through the MoBull Messenger system, University Police said there were two black male suspects in black hoodies. Additionally, one suspect wore a black ski mask while the other wore a Vendetta mask. One was armed with a 9mm handgun, police said.
The suspects were still at large as of Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
