Rape reported in Juniper Poplar
University Police received a delayed report of a sexual battery at approximately 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
A female resident of Juniper Poplar hall was reportedly the hall at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
UP Public Information Officer Lt. Charlotte Domingo said the victim was acquainted with the male suspect, but no arrest has been made yet. The incident is currently under investigation.
Domingo said students should take precautionary steps to identify dangerous situations. Students should always report suspicious activity immediately to UP, she said.
“Pay attention to your instincts,” she said. “If your instincts tell you to be uncomfortable with a situation, get out of that situation immediately.”
