Taggart dismisses two seniors
USF football coach Willie Taggart announced Monday at his weekly press conference that senior defensive backs Mark Joyce and JaQuez Jenkins were dismissed from the team roster, thus ending the college career of each player.
Both Joyce and Jenkins were suspended after USF’s 23-20 loss to UCF last Friday for a violation of team rules, Taggart said.
“We’re trying to change a culture to a total commitment to the team and winning and we will,” Taggart said. “There’s consequences that come with anything that counters that, and those consequences will be paid. There’s not one individual bigger than this team.”
Both players are is set to graduate this month.
