Mitchell looks to transfer after being suspended

USF’s second-leading wide receiver last season, Terrence Mitchell, will be transferring to Division II school Fort Hays State University in Kansas, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Mitchell finished the 2012 season with 414 receiving yards on 31 catches, his best season at the collegiate level.

The transfer is likely due to his suspension in March for a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. Whether or not Mitchell would see the field again after his suspension was unclear after USF’s coaching change from Skip Holtz to Willie Taggart in December.
