Golf cart stolen, crashed
Two students stole a golf cart owned by the USF graduate school early Monday morning, crashed it into a bicycle rack outside Mu Residence Hall and abandoned the cart nearby.
University Police (UP) responded to a call of criminal mischief at 12:04 a.m., UP spokesman Lt. Chris Daniel said. The Resident Assistant on duty, Pedro Zamora, called UP on behalf of a student who reported seeing two students a white male with a shaved head and a thin white female driving around on the golf cart and had seen them crash it.
Daniel said the male took off on foot after the crash, and the female drove the cart a short distance away to Lambda Residence Hall. The golf cart was recovered outside Lambda and the windshield was found near the bicycle rack at Mu.
(The suspects) would be facing charges of grand theft and criminal mischief, and more, pending investigation, Daniel said.
UP does not have any suspects at this time.
