Daniels named to OBrien Watch List

Entering his final season at the helm of the USF football team, quarterback B.J. Daniels has begun to garner national attention.

Daniels was one of 34 quarterbacks named to the Davey OBrien award watch list. The award is given to the best quarterback in the nation at the end of the season.

I think B.J. has made some great improvement since weve been here, coach Skip Holtz said in a press release. Hes really gotten past what to do and hes really getting into the how to do it, which is the step that you take from being a talented player to being a great player.

The Tallahassee native is 2,903 total yards away from breaking the Big East record for career total yardage. At second, he is one spot behind former USF quarterback Matt Grothe in that category.
