C-SPAN campaign bus to visit campus
C-SPAN’s Campaign 2012 Bus will be parked for two hours today at the east end of USF Apple Drive near the Library.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the bus, on its “Road to the White House” tour, will be open to students interested in learning about C-SPAN’s political resources the day before Florida’s Republican primary.
C-SPAN spokesman Doug Hemmig said the bus’s laptops, mobile devices and high-definition TVs are designed to help students learn more about ways to follow the 2012 election season through social media and other online resources – something he said students are quite in tune with.
“Whenever we go to college campuses, the students we interact with are very engaged in the process and very interested in what’s going on,” he said.
The bus will make its next stop in Tallahassee and Pensacola Florida before moving to Memphis, Tenn.
