Ben Affleck directs and stars in this drama about the gritty world of Boston crime. The set-up is pretty standard: ongoing battles between thieves and the federal agents after them. “The Town,” which shares a producer with the critically acclaimed film, “The Departed,” has received a decent reception from critics for its cast and writing.
