After splitting its first two games of the season, USF women’s basketball faces Wake Forest (1-0) tonight at 5.
The Bulls (1-1), coming off an 88-72 win against St. Peter’s on Monday, have received a majority of their scoring from seniors Jessica Lawson and Janae Stokes.
Stokes, a 5-foot-7 guard, had a team-high 25 points Monday, hitting seven three-pointers. Lawson had double-doubles in the first two games.
USF coach Jose Fernandez was on the bench Monday after recovering from a series of abdominal pains last week, causing him to miss the opener. The Bulls lost 73-68 to Florida A&M.
Wake Forest handled Jacksonville 64-47 in its opener. The all-time series between USF and Wake Forest is 2-1 in favor of the Demon Deacons.
