Freedom to vote, freedom to eat
On the way back to campus, voting students can snag cheap — or free — food and drinks just for exercising their constitutional right. In support of Election Day, the following establishments are giving out free or discounted goods in exchange for that little “I voted” sticker.
Starbucks — 50th Street and Fowler Avenue
Those who come in with an “I voted” sticker or show their voter registration card can get a free tall brewed coffee at any corporate-owned Starbucks.
Krispy Kreme — 8425 North Florida Ave.
At the Krispy Kreme on 8425 North Florida Ave. today, you can get a free donut just for saying you voted. This location will not be giving out star-shaped donuts, though others will.
Shane’s Rib Shack — 17501 Preserve Walk Lane
Anyone who turns in an “I voted” sticker can get a three-piece chicken tender meal with fries and a drink for $5.
Chick-fil-A — 53rd Street and Fowler Avenue
Today and Wednesday, anyone who turns in an “I voted” sticker at Chick-Fil-A will receive a free chicken sandwich.
