ESPN will film an early intro to USF’s football season
ESPN’s “College GameDay” crew along with platinum-selling country artists Big & Rich are “comin’ to your city,” and campus. Bulls fans looking for a little relief from the crunch of summer classes may want to grab their USF garb if they plan to attend. “College GameDay,” which airs on ESPN Saturday mornings at 10 am, will be filming the show’s introduction at Meadows Field on Holly Drive. The show’s crew hopes to attract USF students who want to be extras in the shoot. Tuesday’s visit also aims to get students pumped up for the steadily approaching football season. The event is free to all who attend, and will include an afternoon of activities for those not interested in earning their fifteen minutes of fame. The schedule of festivities begins at 2 pm and will include a live performance by Big & Rich, comedic acts, concession stands and face painting.
“College GameDay,” hosted by Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit airs every Saturday at 10 am nationwide on ESPN. The show previews which colleges will be facing off against one other as football season approaches later this summer. Anchors Fowler and Herbstreit look forward to USF’s first game of the season on August 30.
