The volleyball team plays in its second straight road tournament to open the season.
The Bulls travel to Dayton, Ohio to face Liberty, the Citadel and host Wright State in the Wright State Raider Challenge.
USF is the only team participating in the tournament with a winning record – the Bulls won two of three matches last week during the Western New York Invitational.
The Bulls 2-1 record is their best start to a season
since 2004.
Senior Kristina Fabris led the way in the finale, posting a career-high 26 kills to defeat Fordham.
USF opens the tournament today against Liberty. The Flames are 3-3 this season and have won the only match between the two teams, defeating USF 3-2 in 1990.
The Citadel is coming off a 3-2 loss to Presbyterian and has 1-3 record this year. Junior Rachel Sanders, who made the Jacksonville Invitational all-tournament team, led the Bulldogs with 23 kills and 19 digs in the final match.
The Bulls close the series against Wright State. With a 1-7 record this season, the Raiders want to improve their record as they play at home for the second time this season. Senior Samantha Connor has posted four double-doubles for Wright State this season.
