RIAA files law suits against USF students

The Recording Industry Association of America announced today that it has filed 11 ‘John Doe’ lawsuits against USF students for illegally trafficking copyrighted materials on the campus network.

Doe Lawsuits are often filed by the RIAA to obtain subpoenas, which compel the University to release the personal data of students. The RIAA currently only has access to the IP addresses of those that stand accused.
