The story: The Bulls hope to avenge their first loss of the season against another in-state rival, the Miami Hurricanes. The defense looks to rebound after allowing a season-high three goals to Florida International during Sunday’s loss. Goalkeeper Casey Garrett has recorded the same amount of shutouts as goals allowed (3). For the first time all season, forward Lindsay Brauer was held without a point against FIU.
Miami owns a 3-0 all-time series advantage against the Bulls. The last meeting, which was the first home game for USF against Miami, resulted in a 2-1 victory for the Hurricanes.The Hurricanes are coming off a double-overtime loss to Florida Atlantic, a team that forced USF to a tie earlier in the season. Miami is anchored by goalkeeper Lauren McAdam, who has recorded 32 saves through six games this season.
Keep an eye on: midfielder Jenna Levenson. The sophomore has recorded two goals on only three shots for the Hurricanes this season. Both of her goals have been game-winners.
