The Election Rules Committee-sponsored debate for student body president and vice president will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday in Cooper Hall 103. Andrew Read, event coordinator and former director for the ERC, said the rules underwent a slight but significant change this year.
“Each ticket will be able to give a rebuttal and ask questions (of other candidates),” he said. “We are trying to stir debate.”
“Each candidate has to try to keep it equal and fair.”
The Residence Hall Association will sponsor a town hall-style debate, which begins 9 p.m. Wednesday in Holly J. The College Republicans are also sponsoring a debate at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The location has yet to be announced.
