Kathy Castor heads feminist voter rally
Kathy Castor, daughter of Democratic Senate nominee and former USF President Betty Castor, will headline several speakers appearing at a voter rally at USF’s Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza today.
The rally, which will last from 12:30 to 3:30 this afternoon, is being sponsored by the university’s Feminist Student Alliance.
“We’re just trying to get as many students involved and aware as possible and to encourage them to make themselves heard,” former student body President Omar Khan said.
Kathy Castor has served as county commissioner for Hillsborough County since 2002.
