Former Bulls receiver hauls in two TDs

The USF football team wrapped up spring practice Saturday, but one former Bull’s season is just beginning.

The NFL Europe season got under way last weekend with three games, including former Bulls receiver Scott McCready’s Scottish Claymores against the FC Barcelona Dragons. McCready contributed to the biggest opening day victory in the league’s 10-year history, as he caught two touchdown passes, of four and 26 yards, in the Claymores’ 45-17 win. He finished with five catches for 79 yards.

McCready, a native of England, earned a Super Bowl ring last season as a practice squad member of the New England Patriots. He played for USF in 1997 and 1999-2000, leading the Bulls with 37 receptions in his senior season.
