Salgado, Thwaites earn co-Player of the Week honors

For their parts in wins against DePaul and memphis, USF men’s soccer players Jeff Thwaites and Gabriel Salgado were named Conference USA Co-offensive Players of the Week for the period ending Oct. 28.

Thwaites became the seventh player in C-USA this season to record a hat trick in the Bulls 5-2 win against Memphis. The junior midfielder added an assist against Memphis and is currently tied with Jason Cudjoe for the team lead in points (17).

Salgado scored both goals in the Bulls 2-0 win against the Blue Demons and added four assists in the Memphis win. Salgado’s performance against the Tigers gave him the most assists in a match by a C-USA player.
