USF men’s basketball inches closer to AP Top 25 rankings
Following a 90-86 victory against FAU on Sunday, the Bulls are achieving more than just historic wins this season.
USF men’s basketball garnered 45 votes in the AP Top 25 poll after Sunday’s monumental win. It’s the most votes the Bulls have received since they had 58 in 1991.
USF has never made it into the Top 25 before in all of program history.

The Bulls (19-5,12-1 AAC) were considered for the poll, which assesses the top college basketball teams in the country, last week for the first time this season with seven votes.
This time around, the Bulls received the most votes out of any school in the American Conference, surpassing Florida Atlantic and Memphis.
The Owls (20-6,10-3 AAC) fell out of the top 25 ranking for the first time this season. They received 27 votes following their loss to the Bulls.

Memphis (18-8, 7-6 AAC) has received at least one vote on the poll every week this season. That changed in the latest installation – Memphis received zero votes this time.
USF beat the Tigers in a 20-point comeback victory on Jan. 18.
The Bulls could potentially win its 13th conference game on Wednesday. This could break the standing record of 12 conference wins during the 2011-12 season in the Big East.
USF will face off against UTSA on Wednesday at 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and Bulls Unlimited.
