KJ Sails invited to XFL draft pool
Former cornerback KJ Sails was invited to join the player draft pool for the XFL’s kickoff season in 2023.
Sails transferred to USF in 2019 after two years at UNC. He started eight of nine games in 2020, but his season got cut short due to injury.
In 2021, the Chargers signed Sails, but he was cut early on in the season.
The XFL is a new American professional football minor league set to kickoff in February. It will consist of a 10-game regular season running from February to April.
While it’s not confirmed Sails will take part in the draft, he expressed his gratitude for the invitation on Twitter on Wednesday.
