Pinzan has historic night as Bulls down Tulane
The Bulls (10-1, 7-0) visited the Big Easy at the Avron B. Fogelman Arena on Wednesday night to take on Tulane (7-4, 3-3) and defend their undefeated record in conference play.
After picking up a 72-53 victory over the Green Wave, No. 16 USF women’s basketball tied its longest winning streak in program history with nine.

Tulane held a nine-point lead early on, but by the end of the first quarter USF had eight second-chance points and tied the score.
The Bulls then had a strong second quarter and went into the half leading 30-21. They never looked back, maintaining a comfortable lead throughout the second half thanks to a solid performance on both ends of the floor.
USF held the Green Wave to a 23.1% shooting percentage from the three-point arc, and collected 14 steals that allowed them to cash in with 21 points off turnovers.
Junior guard Elisa Pinzan also had a historic night dropping her 300th career assist. She is the 12th player in program history to accomplish the feat. She also logged a team-high 22 points.

USF’s consistent play has lifted them to the No. 1 spot in the AAC standings with a record of 7-0 in conference play. Right behind them are UCF and Temple tied at 4-1.
Up next for the Bulls is a matchup against Memphis at the Yuengling Center on Sunday. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
