USF Golf finishes sixth in S.C.

Junior Brad Quiri paced the USF men’s golf team during the First Reliance Bank Intercollegiate Golf Tournament Tuesday.

Quirri led the Bulls with a four-under par 68 in the final round of the tournament.

Quirri was the highest individual scorer from USF, placing third in the 14-team tournament with a three-day score of 215.

USF finished No. 6, posting a 14-over par for a three-round score of 878.

Jacksonville State led the tournament with a score of 873.

A highlight besides Quirri’s top No. 3 placing, was junior Ryan Shears who finished No. 8, with a score of 217.

Senior Jeremy Sims and junior Chris Black finished No. 26 and No. 29 respectively for USF.

Sims shot a total of 222 and Black shot a total of 223.

The Bulls’ only other senior competing in the match, Oscar Fraustro, finished No. 45, shooting 11-over par for a total score of 227.
