Timely hitting and solid pitching led the Bulls to their first series win since Feb. 22 on Sunday.
Friday, normally a day where the Bulls excel, was their sole loss of the series.
Junior pitcher Corey Braun gave up 4 runs in 5 innings pitched, he was handed his first loss of the season.
The Bulls’ bats were quiet too, only gathering four runs through nine innings on their way to a 5-2 loss.
On Saturday, the story would change as strong Bulls pitching would lead them to their first Saturday win since Feb. 22.
Junior pitcher Bryce Archie got his first win of the season after pitching six innings, allowing only two runs to score.
Bulls hitting was relatively sparse, outside of a pair of homeruns from junior outfielder Ryan Pruitt and junior infielder Matt Rose, leading them to a 4-3 victory.
USF’s bats would come alive on Sunday as they racked up 11 hits and 15 runs, including a moonshot from senior outfielder Jackson Mayo.
The Bulls pitching struggled, giving up eight runs.
Still, the Bulls’ bats would prove too much for Maryland in their 15-8 victory.

As the House v. NCAA settlement reshapes the financial architecture of college sports, outgoing USF athletic director Michael Kelly said the university plans to be among its “most aggressive” adopters. The settlement, finalized on June 6, allows schools to directly pay athletes for the first time, with a national cap set at $20.5 million per […]
USF track and field had ventured over 3,000 miles to compete in the NCAA outdoor national championships in Eugene, Oregon. Vincent Ugwoke stepped off a plane into a snowstorm just after midnight in Concordia, Kansas, in 2022. He’d just flown over 6,000 miles to the U.S. from Nsukka, Nigeria — alone and carrying nothing but a bag full of clothes made for the wrong weather. Three years later, the senior is one of the […]
The Los Angeles Rams officially signed former Bulls defensive tackle Decarius Hawthorne to a one-year deal on Tuesday. USF hasn’t had a player drafted since 2018 when defensive tackle Deadrin Senat and wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling were picked in the third and fifth rounds by the Falcons and Packers. Hawthorne joins RJ Perry — who […]
