If USF softball wanted to make a statement heading into conference play, consider it delivered – bold, underlined and in all caps.

They owned this week’s Oracle honors, stacking dominant pitching, clutch hitting and a little late-game drama to claim Player, Team and Play of the Week.

Alex Wilkes set the tone with her bat, Payton Dixon shut the lights off on UAB’s lineup and Dania Brooks provided the viral moment – crossing home for a walk-off win after a video review flipped the call.

When the dust settled, softball left no doubt: conference play is here and the Bulls are ready.

Wilkes didn’t just contribute this week – she delivered when it mattered most.

The junior infielder set the tone in USF’s win over Siena, launching a home run, smacking an RBI double and driving in another run with a sacrifice bunt.

She finished the game with three RBI, proving once again why she’s one of the Bulls’ most dangerous hitters.

Wilkes’ bat stayed hot in conference play, helping the Bulls fight back against UAB after a tough series opener.

Through the series against the Blazers, she recorded two hits and four RBI.

She sits second on the team in RBI at 22 and continues to be a key piece of USF’s offensive production.

While the Bulls fell in their conference opening game – they stormed back and took control.

After splitting a midweek series with Siena, the Bulls hit a speed bump in their conference opener, falling 5-2 to UAB.

But instead of letting one loss snowball, they punched back hard.

Game two had everything: tension, clutch moments and a finish straight out of a sports movie.

Tied 3-3 in the ninth, Dania Brooks sprinted home on a fielder’s choice, initially called out before a video review flipped the script.

Walk-off secured, series evened. By Sunday, the Bulls weren’t leaving anything up for debate.

Dixon delivered a masterclass in the circle, firing a complete-game shutout while scattering just three hits in a 6-0 win. The Blazers never had a chance.

One game tested USF’s grit. The other showcased its dominance. Together, they sent a clear message – this team is built for the long haul.

A walk-off itself is thrilling. One that requires a video review? Instant classic.

With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, Brooks sprinted home on a fielder’s choice.

The initial call? Out. But after review, the ruling was overturned, sending the Bulls into celebration mode and sealing a dramatic 4-3 victory.

It wasn’t just a win – it was a statement. The Bulls aren’t just here to compete. They’re here to win the moments that matter.
