Reports: McQueen’s cause of death confirmed
The Associated Press is reporting that Lynda Martindill, an official at a coroner’s office, confirmed the cause of death for iconic fashion designer Alexander McQueen was from “asphyxiation and hanging.”
Just nine days after his mother died, McQueen, 40, hung himself Thursday in his wardrobe. His sister identified his body to officials.
No judiciary action will occur until April 28, according to cnn.com, to allow for an autopsy report. McQueen’s family is asking media to respect their privacy.
The family will hold tributes and memorials later this year, a spokeswoman for the family told the AP.
