‘Week of Welcome’ to soothe return to school

USF’s focus this week is on welcoming students that are returning to campus through the Week of Welcome (W.O.W), which aims to ease the transition for 1,500 new transfer students this semester.

Jerry Rosenberg, the associate director of New Student Connections (NSC), said that while the fall semester W.O.W. has been a tradition for more than 10 years, this is only the second W.O.W. to be held during the spring.

NSC planned more than 30 events. Though there are fewer events scheduled for this semester’s W.O.W compared to about 100 events in the fall, Rosenberg said she hopes to see a wide variety of student participation.
