Players to watch
Offense
Quarterback: Evan Landi
Aside from quarterback, Landi will play wide receiver and special teams.
Center: Sampson Genus
Genus, the Bulls’ starting center, will be right in the heart of USF’s big question mark — the offensive line.
Wide Receiver: Dontavia Bogan
With the loss of Jessie Hester and A.J. Love to injury, Bogan will have his chance to impress out wide.
Defense
Cornerback: Quenton Washington
Washington worked primarily as a backup last year but is now No. 1. The question is, how will he handle it?
Linebacker: Mike Lanaris
Lanaris redshirted last season, but at a position where USF lost both starters, playing time could be open.
Cornerback: Tyson Butler
Butler is listed as a No. 2 cornerback. However, he’s been given a good look in practice at returning kicks on special teams.
