Jennifer L. Porter, the schoolteacher who turned herself in on Monday for a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred Friday in Tampa, has a USF connection. The accident on 22nd Street caused the death of two young children and injured two others.

Porter is a USF alumna, graduating in 2000 after with a bachelor’s degree in dance, Michelle Carlyon, a USF senior media relations representative, confirmed Tuesday afternoon.
