Transcript fee receives a $3 boost this year

Students who wish to obtain a copy of their transcript will notice a $3 increase. The transcript fee increased from $5 to $8 per copy.

Rick Boyd, assistant university registrar, said the increase was approved after a vote in November from the Board of Trustees to offset rising administrative costs for transcript services.

Boyd said the increase was supposed to take effect Jan. 1, but the university decided to wait until the new fiscal year started for 2003-04.

The Office of Registrar notified students of the increase on OASIS, by e-mail and by hanging flyers on their doors, Boyd said.

Boyd said he has not heard of any complaints.

“Because of our communications and getting the word out, we haven’t heard of any complaints,” he said.
