The result of a car chase that took police across campus, a car sits pinned by a deputy’s patrol car and an unmarked University Police car in Lot 11 near the intramural tennis courts on Friday night. At about 11 p.m., two deputy patrol cars pulled over the Nissan at Skipper and 42nd Street. Shortly thereafter, deputies said, the car rammed the back of one of the patrol cars and took off. Deputies pursued the car down Fletcher Avenue and onto campus. Deputies said the car sped along Holly Drive and circled the Marshall Center before heading down Maple Avenue and eventually crashing with authorities. Both suspects took off on foot but were caught and arrested with the help of a police helicopter, deputies said.
