Spring practices open to public
USF football coach Willie Taggart and the Bulls will kick off spring practice starting Wednesday, ending with the annual Spring Game on March 29 at Raymond James Stadium.
This season, second-year head coach Taggart will open six of the 15 practices to the public beginning with the second and third practices on Feb. 28 and March 1 at 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. respectively at the Frank Morsani Football Complex outside the Athletics building.
“I want the fans to be part of what we are building,” Taggart said. “I look forward to seeing a lot of them out at the practice field in the coming weeks.”
The other spring practices open to fans are March 7 at 8:30 a.m., March 8 at 3 p.m., March 21 at 8:30 a.m. and March 22 at 3 p.m. Practices last roughly two hours.
Parking will be set behind the Morsani Complex and Corbett Soccer Stadium near 50th Street and bleacher seating will be provided.
USF returns 17 starters to the team, 10 offensive, five defensive and two specialists as the Bulls come off a 2-10 season that ended on a six-game losing streak with two back-to-back wins sandwiched in the middle of the schedule.
