PLANT CITY – Authorities say a woman who was under a parked Tampa Bay area school bus was killed when the vehicle began to move.
Plant City police say 20-year-old old Isabel Martinez was run over Wednesday morning when the driver was preparing to start her daily run. Martinez has apparently crawled under the Hillsborough County school bus sometime during the night. It had been parked in an open field.
Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene. It wasn’t immediately clear why she was under the bus.
There were no children on the bus at the time of the incident, and the driver of the bus was not injured.
An investigation in ongoing.
