As South Florida prepares to host Georgetown tonight at the Sun Dome, sophomore guard Dominique Jones is approaching 1,000 career points.
Jones, who sits at 973 career points, could hit the mark with a big offensive performancec against the Hoyas.
Tonight’s game is the 56th of Jones’ career. At the pace Jones is making, he will become the second fastest USF player to reach 1,000 points in school history.
Tony Grier reached the mark in 51 games in the 1980-81 season.
USF’s all-time leading scorer, Charley Bradley, went over 1,000 in his 59th career game
two years later.
