Tick-off list for tickets

Home-game ticket sales for USF football should surpass those of past seasons because of a schedule that includes high-profile home games against West Virginia and Louisville, an official with USF said Thursday.

Season-ticket sales have already exceeded those of previous seasons, with the exception of the inaugural season, said Erik Book, director of ticket operations.

“It’s an exciting time for USF and USF football; we should be good this year, we need the students to support us, and get out there and have a team effort,” said Book.

USF football games averaged 30,222 attendees last year. The first game of the 2006 season, against McNeese State University, brought in 26,351 people, of whom 5,000 were students, Book said.
