USF’s One Accord will perform at “Arts, Eats and Beats” this weekend at MOSI

On Saturday and Sunday, the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) sponsors “Arts, Eats and Beats,” a family-friendly art and music festival. to benefit MOSI educational programs.

The festival will include live music from some of Tampa’s entertainers, including a multi-ethnic dance troupe from USF, N’Version. Also participating are the Tampa University Jazz Band, USF’s One Accord, and Musical Showcase, an entertainment school, performing a salute to Broadway.

“Arts, Eats and Beats” will have face painters, tarot card readers and balloon animal makers, while artisans create handmade art, jewelry, pottery and natural soaps.

Culinary arts also will also be featured. There will be food from local restaurants, such as As Es Mi Peru, the Coffee Guys and Ristorante Francesco for the event. There will also be children’s activities such as rock wall climbing and bungee-trampoline jumping.

“Arts, Eats and Beats” is to be held from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., Saturday, November 13 and 14. The cost is $5 per person, and children under five years old are admitted free. This price gets attendees into the event and also into MOSI exhibits.
