Greenberg a candidate at Oregon State
USF men’s basketball coach Seth Greenberg is a candidate for the vacancy at Oregon State, according to The Oregonian.
Beavers Athletic Director Mitch Barnhardt is considering at least six candidates, including Greenberg, Pacific’s Bob Thomason, Cal State Northridge’s Bobby Braswell, Division II Metro State’s Mike Dunlap, Arizona assistant Jay John and Seattle Supersonics assistant Dean Demopolous, according to The Oregonian.
South Florida Athletic Director Lee Roy Selmon told the St. Petersburg Times that he agreed to let Oregon State contact Greenberg, whose contract at USF runs through 2005.
Greenberg is 93-86 in six years at USF and is coming off his best season record-wise, leading the Bulls to a 19-13 mark and a bid to the National Invitational Tournament. Greenberg was also a finalist for the Miami job in 2000, a slot eventually filled by Perry Clark.
Greenberg could not be reached for comment.
