Starting today, the outside, east-bound lane of West Holly Drive will be closed from 7 a.m.- 6 p.m. until March 4. The lane will be closed from the Moffitt Cancer Center Parking Garage entrance to the intersection of Magnolia and West Holly Drives.
University Police Sgt. Mike Klingebiel said the lane will be set up as a temporary sidewalk during construction hours while the original sidewalk will be closed for construction equipment.Klingebiel said commuters should expect congestion at the Bruce B. Downs Boulevard entrance into the university, but access to the USF Medical Clinics will not be affected.
Since the closure will be consistent for the next three weeks, Klingebiel said UP will not be needed to direct traffic unless congestion becomes a problem.
