Classes have been closed until further notice
“The nation is experiencing great shock at the tragic events of the day, and the University of South Florida shares in this distress.
At 11:25 a.m. today, Florida Secretary of Education Jim Horne announced: “In an abundance of caution, community colleges and universities are closed today.”
This directive applies to all University of South Florida campuses.
Let me please encourage an orderly departure and your understanding of the extraordinary nature of this moment. USF campus police and the administration are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff on our campuses.
University Police, services for residential students, the USF Medical Clinic and medical services at area hospitals will remain open. We expect the campus to resume full operations on Wednesday.”President Judy Genshaft
