One shuttle won’t be running after it was struck by a vehicle on the corner of Pine Drive and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard on Sunday afternoon.

According to the University Police’s Sgt. Martin King, the accident occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m.

“The accident occurred when a driver ran a red light and crashed into the transportation vehicle,” he said.

King said the damage to the Bull Runner was “consistent with a vehicle being totaled or non-operational.”

Six passengers on the Bull Runner at the time of the accident. Two were treated on the scene and both drivers were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

One bus passenger, who was not a USF student, was arrested on the scene for an outstanding warrant.
