Mass Communications director steps down from position
Starting in 2009, Mass Communications Director Jay Friedlander will no longer serve as the head of the school.
Friedlander announced in an Oct. 2 e-mail that he will be taking a nine-month hiatus from the University but said he plans to remain engaged in all decision-making involving the School of Mass Communications until his replacement has been secured, the St. Petersburg Times reported Tuesday.
World Languages Chairman Vic Peppard will lead the search for the new director.
